Glacial water

GR54 Day 3: We walked from La Grave in the rain across some fairly seriously flooded paths up to Refuge de l'Alpe du Villar d'Arene where we dried out and had some restorative potage.

Then in the sun we climbed the Col d'Arsine (2348m) in the company of young marmots. On the way down we walked beside the outflow from the glacial lake de Glacier d'Arsine. The water was a stunning creamy blue and formed small lakes periodically. Kathy is on the bridge.

Afterwards a long but pretty walk down to Monetier les Bains where we stayed in the excellent Gite la Flourou.
