Roll out the barrel!

This used to be a water feature but over the years had dried up and become just a barrel with stones in. Rather than get rid of it, I decided to plant it with some hardy (I hope) plants. There are a couple of Minimus, one red and one yellow, an Aubretia, mauve, and half a dozen little heathers. The compost doesn't go right to the bottom - I more than half filled the barrel with bricks and stuff before putting the stones back on top of about 6 inches of compost. We'll see if it survives and what it looks like next year.
