Not Porty People and Places.

Training day lunch in Cairo. I am privileged to be back in Cairo. Everyone who came in to work on the first day of the weekend here was rewarded with this feast.

The times have changed dramatically since I was last working here 18 months ago. The city and the country have embraced and welcomed the new administration of President Sisi.

There is once again a very positive feel to the city. The tourists have begun to return too. That is excellent news for those whose livelihood is solely dependant upon the tourist "dollar".

Day one of my four day assignment has been successfully completed. I was reminded of my Doha days, being back in this Arabic quarter of the African continent, especially when the Friday prayers and amplified sermon were competing with my carefully prepared presentation!
