Baking...
...although the result wasn't quite Great British Bake Off standard. There was definitely an even bake, but they had a crusty bottom, and were sadly lacking in the "rise" department. That was Little Miss E's scones....but we still ate them!
It was so nice not to have to go to work today and to spend it at home with Little Missy. The sun even shone for us. The van wouldn't start again, so out came the jump leads, and E's first lesson in car mechanics.
Munchkin 1 was back early from the schools residential trip to the Brecon Beacons. Full of smiles and tales of the week. His little sister ran up to give him a hug. They missed each other. She had sweets she received at bingo last night she wanted to share with her big brother and he had kept sweets he wanted to share with her. How long will this mutual love last? Ha.
He also had a great time tonight at Scouts. He was the only one who had been away from the year group that turned up tonight and he's still going. That's ma boy.
Got thrashed at badminton tonight too. I lost every game, but it was close...or so I'm told!
Have a lovely weekend everyone. Will catch up on your journals soon.
