Down in the Emiliana today... somewhere along this stretch of road a Ferrari 458 Special dropped down a gear in full throttle and I about dropped my drawers... totally wasn't expecting that even if I know better. We are talking about Ferrari country and only a stone throw from the old "new" Bugatti factory. When I lived in Modena, it wasn't uncommon to see a prototype out and about with a bit of tape and disguise over the body going from one shop to another. My apartment was literally around the corner from the Maserati plant and was so nice to linger around the front fence to see the new cars fresh off the assembly line waiting for pick up. Ahhh... times have changed.

This particular stretch of road on the A22 is not the best place to speed. 2 lanes and a lot of truck traffic. I've seen plenty of accidents over the years... I had just passed a slower car and moved back over to my lane. Even if I am a decent driver with good mirror sense I totally didn't see the Ferrari come up behind me - he was moving at such a rate of speed. He obviously braked hard coming up behind me and then dropped gears when he saw he had a clear shot around me as I was pulling back into the right lane. BANG!!! and I said DANG!!! That car is a beast. I wasn't exactly dolly-wagging either... In one sense, I love the roar and speed of the car. On the other, I hate to see such reckless drivers. Get it on the race track dumbass... and don't risk everyone else's lives!!!!
