Poppies at the Tower

Another red day :)

Well, I made it up to London, went and saw the poppies :) Its such a pity, but I think I had the camera on the wrong settings and also a problem with 'fingermarks' or such on the lens. Never mind its been a good day :)

A slightly different view of them than I've seen from other blippers! I will put some more on flickr tomorrow, just exhausted now :)

After the poppies I went to Blackfriars and had a great meal at the pub on the way to Tate Modern :)

Home earlyish, showered, in pjs and hoping for an early night :)

The real excitement of the day was seeing as I arrived at Newbury Station this morning, a Steam Train in the platform :):) Such a shame I couldn't get to the front but I did manage to take a couple of shots before it went off!

The trains were running behind, so when we got to Reading, there was the steam train, viewable from above just about....and as we waited outside Slough station, what should go gaily past, but the steam train :) What a wonderful sight (the smell is not so good) :)

In other news, I am planning a trip to Salisbury Cathedral on Sunday...might as well make use of the hire car :)
