Swan Lake

We paused on our journey home by the banks of Lake Como and enjoyed a stroll along the shores on a quiet afternoon. The weather was moody, no-one was taking boat trips and a few people were chatting on the terraces of the cafés. Off-season it has a charm and tranquility of its own.
The lake was still and calm and the swan was happily making his own ripples today. He looks so clean which may explain the tiny feather in his mouth.
