Migrating South
Whilst my wife was taking the dogs a walk at Barns Ness, I spent an hour photographing kittiwakes as they flew south in search of warmer climes. Most of the groups flew low over the waves in straight line formation but this did not make for an arresting image, so I have chosen a group who are flying slightly higher against the sky in a more random formation. I might in fact have missed them altogether. if I had not been in conversation with a bird watcher and asked what he was watching.
Oh dear, bad identification mistake, these are. , of course gannets !
