Hump Day Reds:)

Used to be there wasn't much red fall color here in the Seattle area except when you'd go up to the mt. passes to see the vine maples in their brilliant autumn attire. Over the 39 years that we have lived out here in the Pacific NW it seems more and more intentional plantings of trees and shrubs that show red fall color are brilliantly showing face! It really has made a visual difference and I do enjoy all the reds sprinkled among the the prominent orange and yellows. Lots more Japanese Maples are around . This red tree is along the perimeter of Marymoor park. I'm going to seek out some more reds for future blips before the rains completely pound down upon the trees knocking the rest of the leaves to the ground!

Thank you for the nice support for Big R and the our budget cuts here....he was touched to read the comments ...much appreciated.
