I woke up and found to my horror that we'd run out of coffee. An absolute disaster! I frowned at the selection of tea in the cupboard...green tea (full of health benefits, but 'orrible), peppermint tea (not bad...but never before the first coffee of the day), strawberry and some other berry (no thanks) and camomile (far too weak and silly to have first thing in the morning) or plain old plain dull tea. I had to make do with the plain, dull tea and decided to have a walk to Deptford to buy some coffee and, being the hip frumpy, middle-aged woman young thang that I am, maybe go into one of the hip, trendy, modern and with-it little cafes that have popped up there, have a flat white mebbee? Then purchase some coffee and take a few photos at the same time.
I ended up wandering into the grounds of the Laban Dance Conservatoire, which has the impressive multi-coloured building that I've blipped before and lots of interesting reflections in its mirrored glass exterior at the front of the building. I spent far too much time walking around and by the time I got to the centre of Deptford, found the time had flown and had to get back home to get ready for work. I ended up rushing into Iceland to buy a pot of coffee...which is a far from hip, modern and trendy place and very shouty people at the checkout too, arguing about a packet of Doritos. Never a dull moment in Deptford!
