Prattle well Brook
This brook runs all the way down to the bottom of my street and on many centuries ago to provide the priory with fresh water. It's course is the reason Southend has its name as this end of the brook and area was known as the SOUTHEND of Prittelwell. The Prittlewell was dropped as the coastal area became a popular fishing area and so Southend was born!
This was where I walked today in Belfairs Wood.
