Redshank
I don't think I've blipped with this iconic wetland bird yet. Probably because they are the first bird to fly off calling loudly to alarm all the other birds around. This one however couldn't be bothered to lower its second eponymous leg - I think it had two - and so had to stay there as I drove past. It also probably helped me being in a car as they don't look very human shaped.
A gentle day that started with ringing some birds, then pottering around looking at some waders, including this Redshank, whilst Tricia had her hair done and then finally back to the peat bog to turn another row of our peats. Over half done now thankfully.
