Glasgow- Tales of the Riverbank (2)

Well not quite the river bank! After the second week of my course I walked back through George Square and was attracted by this statue/column which is prominent. This is Glasgow's Walter Scott monument, very different from the highly ornate structure in Edinburgh.
Currently I believe that there are quotations from works of Scott around Waverley Station in Edinburgh, the only statin in the world named after a novel ( how's that for a piece of trivial information?)
