Er, why?!

This is part of a rather strange display at Haskins today. Rather odd looking reindeer people around a Christmas dining table. This one appears to be about to walk her dog!

Apologies to those who don't like Christmas mentioned just yet, but my friend and I really enjoyed looking around the decorations and I bought a new Christmas tree and lights as ours is on its last legs and is too big now we've got the new TV. We can't have it blocking the screen! We also had coffee and cake to celebrate her upcoming birthday (she'll be on holiday in Austria at the time)

The TV installer man didn't arrive until 8 pm last night. It was due to be between 3 and 6 pm. He still had one more visit to do before going home to Southampton and had had a very difficult day with a problem installation which had put him way behind as he had to go out to buy longer bolts to fix a TV to an overplastered wall. Anyway, our new TV is fantastic - really pleased with it! We now have HD Freeview - can't get over how lovely the picture is :-) Our Sky Box is not HD, so some thought will be needed about whether to replace that...

This afternoon was not so pleasant as I had a check-up at the dentist's that revealed I need two fillings removing and replacing (there's more filling than tooth, and the teeth are "bowing" outwards. One of the teeth has been feeling weird for ages). There's a possibility that one will require a root filling if the varnish he has painted on to help with sensitivity to hot and cold doesn't help, or worst case scenario, a crown. Do hope not!
