Its a snow problem
Nostalgia will get you every time. I grew up in the suburbs of Boston, when snows filled winters were the norm and there was little talk of El Nino. Homes were equipped with snow shovels of all kinds. I remember making snow tunnels through my entire front yard, not just in snow banks. I remember sledding off the front porch straight out into the street. It was so cold on our walk homes from school that my younger sister and I would take turns pulling our hats all the way over our faces, while the not hat covered leader would bravely guide the other home. By February, you couldn?t see the playground since it was buried under snow piled higher than the top of the slide. I?m very nostalgic for cold blustery days. I?m sure that?s part of my problem with the more commonly less defined seasons. Is it wrong that if I?m to reside in the North East, I want weather. I want fall, I want winter and I expect spring to arrive no later than April. Then I want a full summer season from June 21st to September 21st. Let?s here it for a pleasant Easter Sunday, a warm 4th of July, a crisp fall day in replace of Indian summers. Life for me, was defined as the cycling of seasons with fall signifying a novel start with the hope of a bright new school year. Aw. Nostalgia will get you every time.
