Break on a lava field

created during the last eruption of Mt. Lassen between 1914 and 1917. On this spot, actually between Mt. Lassen and the volcano Mt. Shasta, that we could see in the distance, there had been a big fire several years ago and many old black and whitish remains of trees and bushes are still around. But new growth keeps coming up and a fast flowing creek through this rather desolate area gave us water and a fresh feeling. Never seen any creek this clear. I will put it on my blipfolio
