The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway

On my way to a meeting in the Cotswolds this morning I noticed a sign to GWR Steam Trains. I have driven along this road many times and I am sure that I spotted this as a result of my terminal Blipfoto addiction !!

I was a bit early so I turned off down a side road and found a little station, apparently in full working order.

When I got home I looked it up and found their web page

It is a thriving concern, harking back happily to the great days of steam.

"The Honeybourne Line"

started in 1835 and celebrating 175 years.

It was well worth the detour....
