I have often wondered why so many people are on antidepressants, but having been confined to bed for a few days with the plague, I've worked it out. They're all watching bloody daytime television.

Jeremy Kyle? Countdown? ( And by the way, call me a pedant, but that's NOT a conundrum, it's a bleedin' anagram!) It's enough to drive anyone insane. I briefly considered overdosing on Strepsils, until I rembered where I'd hidden my emergency Maltesers.

Honestly, if it hadn't been for Jim Rockford and his Files, I'd have lobbed the TV into the canal....
