I was on a First Aid revalidation course today with Red Cross. Outside the training room is lots of native flax. The flowers are spent but still very beautiful.
I reckon it's the best one I've done with a doc running it who also spends time at Christchurch Public Hospital.
I'm not in any hurry to put my skills into practice but my confidence is restored and I've learned some great tips I'll retain.
Outside is a beautiful Canterbury sunset. Looking at that sky I think it's only a day or two before it rains in the high country and the rivers are running high again.
I'm not out appealing to my hunter gatherer gene tonight. I'm enjoying my new carpet instead :-)
