Vacation Kickoff!

We arrived at our cute little lake cottage rental after 3 in the afternoon. It was perfect for us - a nice sized family room with a cathedral ceiling and a fireplace, a kitchen that opened up into the living room, the master suit in the back and 2 extra bedrooms + a half bath in the loft area upstairs. Both dogs thought it was AWESOME to have stairs in a house for once and took turns zooming up and down them just so they could roll around on the landing area upstairs or stare at us from up above.
By the time we were all unpacked and had checked out the lake area we were pretty tuckered out - so Mr. Badger decided to head into town to scrounge up some food as we hadn't brought many groceries. Mind you, we had no GPS/phone service and it was getting dark out. Queue me getting really nervous after he had been gone for what seemed like forever (I dunno, it must have been nearly 2 hours .. who knows!). He eventually found his way there and back though and we had a yummy dinner together.
Top Pic: Corra figured out a new game to play - get her ball all wet, shove it into the sand and make sure to roll it all around to get the maximum sand coverage as possible, and then shake it like you mean it!
Bottom Pic: Loki have a serene drink at the lake. Moments after this Corra came crashing down to see what he was doing. Poor Loki, barely gets a moment to take for himself.
