Tall Trees

I'd had a busy day at work so went for a stroll afterwards to enjoy what was left of this beautiful Autumn day, most of which i'd had to spent indoors dealing with other people. These imposing tall trees stand in a row on the south bank of the River Linnet, which passes through Bury. It was so lovely to take some time to reconnect with nature.

I've yet to identify them using my tree book, but they had leaves just like a silver birch, with deeply fissured, beige-coloured bark, and they'd nearly dropped all their leaves- earlier than the other deciduous trees in the park.
