Midwives on strike

For the first time in history, the Midwives of Britain went out on strike.
It was a 4 hour strike this morning, and we stood out by the road, with our banners and signs. We received a lot of support from our local community. Loads of people tooting their horns in support. One kind lady even pulled up and handed over a tray of costa coffee for us.
The weather wasn't on our side, but it didn't deter us. We were soaked through, taking most of the rest of the day to a) dry out and b) warm up!!

I just hope that the government listens.
