The Cathedral

11.1C with lots of cloud, a few sunny spells, and some showers (not forecast grrrrrrr). Light breeze.

Local holiday (the traditional tattie holiday I am told) today and Apothecary7 had the day off. Forecast was for sunny spells and no rain, so we went to St Andrews. When we got there the wind was stronger than we were expecting so we didn't take Maeve the Deerhound for a long walk along the beach. Instead we had a walk round the town which is always enjoyable.

I took some photos in and around the grounds of the Cathedral. I always seem to do that when we are in St Andrews. This particular view does at least show the benches where we often have a picnic lunch ... on a better day than today. The clouds were gathering and darkening.

After we had a good wander round the town we took Maeve back to the car. I had parked by the golf museum as usual. The museum seems to be having a major makeover with a second level being added, which will house a cafe.

Apothecary7 and I went back up to town to visit a bookshop. While we were inside the rain arrived. Showers. Dark clouds ... no picnic.
