Let us not forget the poor paramedics and firepersons this weekend whilst listening to the pop and fizzle of poor-quality fireworks.

I'm amazed that anyone in Edinburgh still considers it worth wasting their money on their own fireworks when there are two free massive displays of vastly more powerful munitions twice yearly. Wandering around tonight I could hear lots of pops and bangs bu couldn't see very many flashes. Got a few pics but they weren't up to much. I could hear many more sirens than the usual Saturday night would warrant though... I suppose the neds have to have their own displays so that they can fire them out over the sea from Portobello prom or (for the real hardcore knobwits) inside the Innocent Railway tunnel.
