We'd had warnings of sneaker waves, but none materialized this weekend. However, I felt wary and uncomfortable every time I walked on the beach. A couple years ago a friend was knocked to her knees by a sneaker wave that came in fast and receded in just seconds giving you an idea of how powerful it was.
