birthday blues

Didn't have a great birthday today. Was feeling under the weather and whilst we tried our best, Pierre and I were both feeling blue.

I did get great presents though :)

Went to Gigondas for the day and spotted this old school épicerie in the village. Just noticed it has a sign saying "Pile wonder" hanging outside!

The gite we were staying in was awful! It was more of a sparse, army-type, block of rooms, with communal bathrooms and two single beds. Zero romance. Ah well, we at least got a great night's sleep :)
