Sunday lunchtime snack
Well, Saturday evening’s calamari was just great, so it seemed appropriate to finish off the lettuce, onion and tomato salad which had been left over.
Just the addition of a hard boiled egg, and freshen up the extra virgin and balsamic, and we were all set up.
Or at least, I was. After a fleeting visit to Waitrose supermarket, and a Sunday afternoon walk, intended to be good exercise and calorie burning. Well, exercise it was; I am not so sure about the calorie burning. Although I should take comfort from my phone app which tells me I walked 2.29 miles and burned 389 calories.
Therefore a light salad, and a tug of olive focaccia bread provided the perfect Sunday lunchtime snack. Even resisted the glass of wine with which I was tempted. Well until later, that is.
So I am feeling righteous. Sunday has passed by. No trip to the pub; no over indulging in roast and veg. And I am set up for the week ahead.
Ah well. Tomorrow’s Monday and back to normal routine!
