Portrait of loco 39042, City of Wells, at Oxenhope today. Looking magnificent, this engine has just returned to service having undergone complete restoration, a labour of love that took all of 25 years in the workshops of our local preserved railway, Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. This weekend, the lines autumn Steam Spectacular Weekend, was the loco’s official debut as it returns to regular service.
