Harvest ....

...old and new.

The top and left hand images here were taken in our church porch this morning. Very welcoming they looked too. Traditional displays of harvest produce.

Inside the window sills were decorated less traditionally with predominantly tinned produce which will be taken to our local food bank.

All good gifts around us ....

After our family harvest service we had a harvest lunch of home made soup and apple pie. There was no charge but a donation to water aid was requested.

When we left to go home it was another gloriously sunny autumn day we crunched our way home past the park on fallen leaves and Beech nuts. I'm afraid I then sat in the warm conservatory and fell asleep! It was 2.30 am when we got in last night from our after show party. A great time was had by all but I'm not used to going to bed so late!
