Clinging to the Wreckage

I had the urge to get a macro blip today. I also wanted to capture some Weather which is today´s word for chantler63´s October word challenge. I tried to capture some grasses against the sky and make you guess what the weather was doing but the photos turned out pretty uninteresting. I trained the macro on some spent thistles which is pretty much all that is left in my street to blip, apart from autumn leaves.
Trying to manually focus on these swaying florets that were still clinging to the seed heads was near impossible so I set the focus at its shortest distance and moved the camera to get something in focus. A quick trigger finger was needed - a bit like when trying to capture water droplets. Sooo, the weather? Windy with a touch of sun.
