Before the match

A quick overnight trip to Seattle to watch the Friday night game between the 'Caps and the Sounders.

A HUGE match.

With Portland having just overtaken us for a playoff place, a win against the league leading Sounders was hoped for, desperately needed, but not expected, at least for me.
1250 Whitecap fans made the trip, even on a Friday to cheer on the lads. With lots of lubrication before and during the game, we were in fine voice against 55,000 plus Seattle supporters.
Guess what. A 44th minute goal put is in the lead and led to some nervous moments all through the second half.
Coming away from there with 3 points was a magnificent performance.

Next week, away to San Jose in the penultimate match of the season and a win should guarantee us a playoff spot.

I shall be there.
