Blue Angels

It is with mixed emotions that I watched the elite naval flying team called the Blue Angels today. On one hand they are very impressive and spectacular and I am proud of them and America. I think this is the emotion they are supposed to elicit, patriotism swells in the heart if the American bear. But then I start to think of the money. Not just what their one hour show cost, but the research and development of the planes, the training of the pilots, and the military infrastructure that supports them and it makes me sad.
