Frenzy

I felt a sense of loss leaving the beautiful mountainous scenery I've been enjoying for the past few days. It's amazing how quickly things change from the mountains to the flat, Canterbury lowlands but change they do, so it wasn't long before I found myself becoming engrossed in the new scenes and surroundings.

I was taken by this scene - an enormous flock of seagulls following a tractor that was ploughing an open paddock. Try as I could (including an unfortunate encounter with an electric fence!) I couldn't get the kind of shot I wanted of both tractor and birds. Birds won the blip race simply because I loved the intensity of the flock.
