Controlled Burning

Gorgeous day, went to the beach for a couple of hours in the morning then went to the Mall to get a super thin duvet. This photo was taken from the roof car park of the mall. Terrifying to look at but no one seemed at all panicked and I later found out that they do this a lot here. It's very controlled and they burn the smaller bush and scrub land without burning the bigger trees as these can slow down a bush fire in the event of an unplanned fire. Bought some Prosecco and beer and watched the sunset whilst chatting to Daniel and Sue on FaceTime. Went home via the fish and chip shop, I had calamari and chips and a couple of oysters, and ate it on the balcony.
