The accidental finding

The second kittenhood of Bomble

I don't know what's in the VitaCat (cheap food from A**i) that Bomblr's been eating for the past few days, but I think it might be amphetamines! He's been rushing around, knocking conkers off surfaces so he can play swipeball with them all around the house; climbing trees and fences; hunting and killing bits of the mattress! In three days he has un-aged five years. Soon he'll be bringing pigeons upstairs, tearing them apart and tossing their heads between his paws! (Dear God, I hope not, but that IS how he behaved, the first week we had him).

He followed me outside today when I went to shoot the Virginia creeper. The thing is, I have a blip of it from two years ago. I looked at all my blip images today, while searching for Gloucester street images (I've started a new series, seehere, amongst others listed in my bio ). It was painful. There are far too many dark photos; far too many emergency blips and last-minute flower shots from the garden; too many weird effects. Things must change, I told myself. So off I went to shoot the Judas tree in the garden, before all the leaves go. I have blipped it before, so wanted a new angle. Suddenly Bomble was there, with his terrifying claws. I got this rather fuzzy shot before he lunged at the camera strap, which resulted in a shaky hallowe'en close-up of his eye!

After that he played for a long time on the garden fence, and I began to notice how overgrown everything has become (again). I am off to Gloucester tomorrow, to climb, but afterwards I think it may be time to don the gloves and start clipping.

I finished my book today! It has only taken me about 70 days. It was the autobiography of Agatha Christie, which I have ranted on about before, so won't bore you further. By strange contrast, I am listening to the autobiog of Suggs from the 80s band Madness on my iPod. His life so far has been about fights, gangs, football hooligans, and the tough streets of North London. It's a far cry from Agatha's debutante season and travels on the Orient Express!
