Sitting on top of the world

We had a chilly and very damp grey morning but by the time I finished work in the afternoon the sky had started to turn blue and eventually it also became quite sunny which made everything look considerably more pleasant and cheerful. I took a few other photos during my walk from the bus stop to our apartment but I didn't like any of them as much as I do this one of a gull sitting on top of one the lamp posts in front of our building.
