London Skyline

This is the view from the train passing Blackfriars. I always feel I have entered another land when I come to London: everything is so different, from the pace of life, the buzz, the architecture etc.
Today was a day full of emotions: burying my father's ashes and a small intimate family gathering: hearing some awful news about my friend's son and arriving in London to see my partner's son and family. The grandchildren (aged 1 and almost 3) were a great tonic this afternoon and the evening was spent putting the world to rights with the parents over a homemade fish curry and a few beers.
