The speech!

I was asked a few weeks ago if I would talk at a local Village Harvest Supper and I said yes. At the time it seemed like a good idea , but on Thursday when I had yet to write a speech , and time was a little on the short side it did not seem such a good idea. However by Friday I had it committed to paper!!

Today has been wedding dress shopping again which has been such fun. Miss Tbay just looks so lovely in most styles deciding is proving quite hard. We now have three firm favs and all at the same price and pretty much all different!

Mr Tbay and I then headed off for Banwell Village Harvest Supper where I delivered my speech, which seemed to go down quite well. Food was great with salt beef, ham and roast beef with salads and hot potatoes, followed by cheese and apple pie. A good evening out.

Farming - Rusty went power harrowing ground he ploughed on Thursday , before grass seed is sown tomorrow . Mr Tbay set about several areas around the house and paddock with a chainsaw. Vast amounts of Elder being removed. I have to say it certainly had made a difference and it all looks so much better. We have a Mink about. Hopefully it will be too busy catching Rabbits that it won't touch the hens. Miss Tbay lost all her hens to the fox last night :( apart from one. Not too sure if she will replace them this time, but we will see.
