Sisters

The two daughters eventually arrived in the late afternoon after an extremely stressful 24 hours. Roadworks caused delays, phones didn't work, so the planned meet-up in Amsterdam didn't happen and with time running out before the ferry was due to leave, D#1 made the difficult decision to board without her sister.

Lulabel177 had the misfortune of seeing the ferry sail away as she drove up to the terminal, but, on the advice of the helpful staff, promptly turned the car in the direction of Rotterdam and made it in time for the 9pm sailing to Hull. Phew!

It's lovely to have both daughters together with me for a very short time. D#2 has to fly back to Paris tomorrow afternoon.
