Touch and go

Last night, Sarah and Jeremy came round for dinner.  They're good and easy company and Jeremy is the one that led me to discover blip a year ago this week.  He's not a blipper himself but had been introduced to Earthdreamer's journal and, like me, was blown away.  I finally had something to do with my photos every single day.  But my journey has been been much, much more than that so this is a special thanks to those two people and also to the many people I have now connected with here.

I've been up to the stone circle on Ilkley moor a few times but have always struggled to photograph it.  Today, Rich's cousin Mark has journeyed up from the south to take part in the York marathon tomorrow.  It's a little touch and go at the moment as he's only just getting over a nasty cold.  Fingers crossed.

We had a short stroll up on the moor this afternoon and Rich and Mark partook in a ritualistic upward glare with a group of people already at the circle.

As the Hubsan X4  headed upwards, it was touch and go whether or not it would return to this planet.  Higher and higher and almost out of sight, the pilot had no other choice but to let go of the controls.

As it tumbled down to Earth, in the nick of time, the control tower kicked in and nothing had to be sacrificed.

Sighs of relief all around.  And a photo.  Finally.
