National Ploughing Match 2014

Had a lovely day out in the fresh air surrounded by tractors, ploughs and most importantly, shire horses. I took 543 photos, of which about 400 are of horses! At first I thought finding just one to blip would be a challenge, but then I remembered how taken with these two characters.

That's Madge on the left and Dolly on the right.

As we first approached them, they were taking a break whilst their ' dad ' was getting himself a coffee from his flask. Behind his back, Madge managed to half remove Dolly's bridle, somehow slipping it over her left ear.

I should have offered to hold his coffee, but had my photographers head on, so just snapped away as he tried to fix it with one hand, coffee cup in the other. He eventually had to put the coffee down, as his shirt sleeve was getting more of it than his mouth would if he didn't!
