Fruit of our labours

These are our new fruit trees, planted this morning. We had five apple trees before but the fruit was hardly worth picking as it was so lacking in flavour, size and firmness.
So, having decided to make the change, the old trees were uprooted last Sunday and during the week Susie and mum did a huge amount of preperation work to get rid or roots, weeds, stones and glass.
The new trees, a plum and two apples - an eater and cooker - were delivered on Thursday.
The new varieties are Arthur Turner (cooking apple), Charles Ross (eater) and the plum, Marjorie's Seedling.
