Great Taste Tasman Cycle Trail

For months we have been watching the cycle trail get built including bridges and culverts and wooden paths in places. Today was the launch of the part between Motueka and Kaiteriteri. There was music and food and a bouncy castle while all assembled then off went about 200 cyclists of all shapes, sizes and ages led by the Mayor of Tasman. They cycled out through the clematis arch from Decks Reserve on this 16km section.Mostly built by volunteers with sponsorship by businesses and some council and government money
Eventually you will be able to ride a loop from Nelson to Kaiteriteri and then up round the river to Tapawera and back through the Waimeas to Nelson. So on yer bikes and come and try it out.
