Travelling to Belgium
An early start… I woke up a little past 4 am and went for a small dog walk. I sorted the last of my things and took off.
First stop was at my dad’s to drop Beat off and meet with Helle and her girls. We packed the last of my stuff over in Helle’s car and continued towards Rødby and the ferry to Germany.
Breakfast on the ferry and then we arrived to Puttgarten in Germany. The drive through Germany went smoothly. We had one big lunch break, where we took the dogs for a very very rainy walk and otherwise we only had little stops for coffee or toilet breaks.
The last 100 km of the journey was through Holland and at about 4 pm, we reached Belgium. Jules O’Dwyer lives close to the border and we arrived to her place at 4.30.
We had a very warm welcome and a cup of coffee before taking the dogs out for a run. Half an hour to sort our luggage and stuff in Jules’ guest house and then a wonderful meal was served for us.
We had a lovely evening, but needed to take care of our dogs too, so at 8ish, we said goodnight and went back to the guesthouse, where we are now cuddling dogs and relaxing after a long, but good day.
This is the dogs and Helle on the ferry from Rødby in Denmark og Puttgarten in Germany in the beginning of our journey.
