Indian summer
A real Indian summer today, blue skies, not a breath of wind and it was warm! Just the day for a gentle stroll among the dunes in search of whatever might turn up. Funnily enough, I was soon down on my knees admiring the dune fungi, whilst Mrs T sat on a tussock enjoying the view and the sun.
The mushrooms are blackening waxcaps Hygrocybe conica which start off life red, orange or yellow in colour but then turn jet black as they mature.
