Lighting the Cathedral

Another day of respite from the poor weather of late and it was too warm to wander up the hill with a jacket on this morning. The dogs charged around after imaginary rabbits again whilst I admired the views and the enjoyed the clear air.
Off to work in Stromness, and an annoying little leak fixed. If the job had been done properly when it was installed there would never have been a leak.
Home again and a quick catch up on the phone with my soon to be best man. Then my beautiful fiancée and I sorted out the paperwork for booking the wedding venue. The date is set, the venue is booked, the countdown has started - 208 days to wait...
HV's car is still in hospital awaiting the arrival of parts so I bundled the dogs in the van and took them out for their afternoon wander. More imaginary rabbits were chased, puddles were splashed through and both of the woofers got filthy.
After dropping the dogs off, I took HV in to town to go to work, dropped off the wedding booking form and spent half an hour in the utterly stunning St. Magnus Cathedral.
The October word challenge for today is glass, and what better for the challenge than the afternoon light spilling into the cathedral through a stained glass window; painting the walls in a rainbow of colour. The Cathedral is a special place.
