The moon

Today started with rain, continued with heavy showers and finished with short showers!

My blip is of the moon through my patio doors - the light was just right to get the raindrops in focus! After lunch, I took more photos of the rain from the office window - some of the colours were stunning as the leaves turn on the trees.

I finally finished the report I have been trying to write for the last few weeks - that is a relief. Now to get on with writing the paper.

I also took a large number of my colleagues out for a drink at lunchtime to celebrate the fact I have been in my current company for 10 years - they think I have been here a lot longer as I seem part of the furniture. My boss made a lovely speech about me and my technical capabilities etc - I hate talking in public but had to respond :( I don't like to be centre of attention and was made to be again.

My evening also consisted of celebrations - one of my friends turned 60. My cousin and I entertained her well - we almost had her in tears with laughter. A great evening out.
