Steamy Koski
Today was a stunning day, bright blue skies and -20 degrees. I was in the city centre during the day and took a few pictures, however later in the evening as I left the office and walked to the pub quiz I took this one from one of the bridges of the Tammerkoski in Tampere. The name 'Tammerkoski' means Tammer river rapids. Further 'downstream' they are actually frozen but here you can see the condensation as steam coming off the rapids. In the background is one of the many old factory buildings which characterise the city. Probably an old cotton mill, which nowadays is used as office space or entertainment space.
Fellow Blippers take not, having taken this photo it means that I was feeling well enough today to return to work! Yay! It's really a lovely feeling. Thanks again for all your kind wishes!
