You were so mad a me this morning when you had to wear your heavy duty rubber boots to school

Maybe a little ashamed you didn't listen and get ready in time
Angry
Refusing to get out of the car
Tear stained cheeks

And I, trying to hold my ground, hoped you would learn a good lesson from this one

But you,

scored a goal in your oversized boots (or "booted" it in as you said)
ran super fast
and climbed an apple tree to pick apples for your bus driver and friend

I hope you always find the best out of a sour situation. And keep that great attitude once it's all said and done.

But at the same time, start listening to mom :)
