Colonel Rick

My main reenacting unit, “Coopers” is a part of a larger organization called the Artillery Reserve. It is an organization that is in charge of all artillery at major events, and they help us to not only get better treatment from event officials, but they also help us get along better with each other. Here is the commander of the Artillery Reserve, Colonel Rick Dennis. It is common sense that Colonel Rick favors our unit, as he spends a good amount of time with us and also eats with us. This was taken at the 150th Gettysburg reenactment during our morning formation. We had a parade field set up, our flag was in place, and the men were lined up in their best uniforms. However, someone decided that since nobody was parked there, if would be a good place for him to make his own parking spot. We knew it was nobody in the Reserve because nobody did anything with it for a full 24 hours and everyone was told what the consequences would be. Still, the truck did not move. For the next morning formation, we lined up and went to the parade field. Now, the tires on the truck had absolutely no air in them. Nobody knew who did it, but we all knew that whoever it was deserved it. We all had a good laugh and ever since, nobody has even tried to mess with the artillery.
